Chinese Language Training Center of Beihang University (CLTC)

CLTC was established in 1994 and attached to International School of Beihang University(BUAA). CLTC is noted for its excellent and experienced teachers and staffs, and boasts update multi-media teaching facilities for students. CLTC provides students with various training programs and syllabi, including fundamental Chinese, oral Chinese, scientific and technological Chinese etc. In order to promote well-understanding of Chinese culture, history, society and tradition for students, CLTC offers a lot of interesting and colorful activities such as linguistic practice, visiting scenic spots, trip outside of Beijing and so on. Several thousands of international students, coming from more than 30 countries, such as Korea, the U.S.A, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, France, Germany etc., have graduated from CLTC since 1994. A great number of students have achieved excellent results and won the qualification to study in China for further education. CLTC sincerely welcomes students from all over the world to join it.

Chinese Training Center regards instructing students in basic and practical Chinese as its main purpose and focuses on comprehensively improving the students' listening, speaking reading and writing abilities, thus equipping them to challenge their career and participate in the HSK test.

   

Qualifications  

Applicants who are between 18-60 years old and are interested in learning Chinese will be eligible, if they are in good health and are willing to observe the laws and decrees of the People's Republic of China as well as the regulations of BUAA.

 

Teaching Programs and Language Practice  

(1) Long-Term Classes: one semester or more

Course Arrangement: The courses will be given from Monday to Friday, about 20 class hours per week.

Class Division: BUAA Chinese Language Training Center offers various classes for students with different levels, including elementary, intermediate, and advanced ones. An entrance examination will be arranged after enrollment and students will be divided into different classes according to their Chinese levels. There will be about 15 students in each class in general.

Curricular: The main courses are Intensive Reading, Chinese speaking, Listening, Newspaper Reading, Writing, Audio-visual and Speaking, Calligraphy, Introduction to China as well as a class for HSK instruction.

Language Practice for long-term students (Self Expense): BUAA offers linguistic practice trip outside of Beijing. BUAA also organizes weekend trips to scenic spots and places of historical interest around Beijing. There are other gatherings and activities such as symposium with Chinese students, watching Peking opera and acrobatics.

Certificate: At the end of the study, certificate will be awarded by CLTC to those whose performances are satisfactory.

(2) Short-Term Classes: Training period varies from 2 weeks to 5 weeks

Course Arrangement: The courses are given from Monday to Friday.

Language Practice (Self Expense) : BUAA holds activities such as visiting Beijing's scenic spots and places of historical interest, participating in a symposium with Chinese students, watching performances.

Certificate: Certificates from CLTC will be awarded after the training.

Step 2: Please send the scanned file of the passport identification page and the digital photo with 2 inch size and light blue background to xpatricia@163.com by email.

Note: Without a photo, your admission will not be considered.

Step 3: Pay the Registration Fee

After receiving the Admission Notice and JW202 form, the applicants can apply for an “X1” or "X2" visa from the embassy and consulate of the PRC in the their own countries (Applicants who have an “X1” visa need to bring the “Health Examination Result”, for the convenience of the residence procedure in China).
