Abstract:This presentation will be in two parts. The first will demonstrate the research on applied regression analysis for environmental and transportation engineering problem-solving. The second part of this presentation will focus on more methodological research into economic design for statistical monitoring and detection.

 

Bio of the Speaker:Dr Justin Chimka is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He received a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. Justin’s research interests include statistical modeling for environmental and transportation engineering applications, and statistical monitoring and detection. Dr Chimka is an associate editor of Stochastics and Quality Control. He has served as a council member of the INFORMS Quality,Statistics and Reliability section, and president of the IISE Quality Control and Reliability Engineering division.
