Beihang has established long-term and stable partnerships with over 240 universities, research institutions, enterprises, and international organizations worldwide and has jointly implemented student exchange programs with more than 80 of these partner universities. Exchange students can choose coursework or research during the exchange program for one to two semesters and transfer back the credits to the home university.

There are over 200 English-taught courses open to the exchange students per year, which covers Materials Science, Electronic Information, Automation, Aeronautics and Astronautics, Computer Science, Biology, Transportation, Economics and Management, and so on. Meanwhile, Chinese Language courses at various levels are offered to help them to improve their Chinese proficiency.

If students choose to apply for visiting scholar program, they can find an ideal supervisor to guide them to complete the research project at Beihang. The study period ranges from 4 months to 1 year. During the study, they can also take some courses to help them learn academic knowledge.

Students may apply for Chinese Government Scholarship through the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home countries when they apply for the visiting scholars program at Beihang.
