The university develops partnerships with universities, research institutions and companies in various parts of the world. These partnerships cover faculty exchanges, student mobility, joint degree programs/courses, workshops and conferences, and joint publications. Beihang implements "Global Beihang 6G Initiative" (Global Campus, Global School, Global Faculty, Global Students, Global Alumni and Global Departments), supporting and promoting internationalization development.

Beihang has also established a number of ambitious international educational programs, including Sino-French Engineer School (also known as l'École Centrale de Pékin) and Zhongfa Aviation Institute, which have enjoyed wide recognition for their excellence.

Beihang welcomes guest professors from all over the world with open arms. Every year the university invites more than 1,000 visiting professors and experts to participate in teaching and research programs at Beihang or to attend academic conferences held by the university. At the same time, over 5,000 Beihang faculty members and students visit partner institutions to give lectures, participate in academic conferences, engage in cooperative scientific research or go on exchange programs.
