The concept of "Beihang Global Campus" was born out of a wish to bring our students a rich variety of study opportunities offered by a globalized world.

Beihang University established Yuanhang Project to promote students to study abroad. It incorporates events and programs both at home and abroad, including student exchange, double degree programs, and short-term/summer programs. By promoting distributed learning regardless of time or geographical boundaries, we aim to educate global citizens with a broader worldview, intercultural awareness, and new insights into academic disciplines and different cultures.

The Yuanhang Project offers over 200 diverse and high-quality overseas study opportunities annually, including double-degree and joint education programs that emphasize high-end leadership and the integration of science and education; semester-long student exchange programs based on credit transfer and tuition waiver agreements; winter and summer school programs that allow students to broaden their international perspectives and enhance cross-cultural competencies during holidays; overseas study supporting programs that encourage Beihang students to independently explore the world; and internship opportunities at international organizations where students can engage in global affairs and address international issues on the world stage.

To encourage and support Beihang students in "going global," the university has also established Yuanhang Sholarship to assist students in participating in various international learning programs. Each year, nearly 3,000 Beihang students embark on overseas journeys through Yuanhang Project. Additionally, the university actively promotes on-campus internationalization by organizing the Global Competence Lecture, which hosts over 20 sessions annually, reaching about 4,000 students. The lecture guests include former UN Under-Secretaries-General, Nobel laureates, foreign dignitaries, and heads of international organizations, providing Beihang students with a valuable platform to interact with global leaders and gain insights into international affairs. This initiative enables Beihang students to embrace the world without leaving campus.
