Li Bohu (1938.11—) is a professor and PhD supervisor in the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering of Beihang University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (elected in 2001).
Prof. Li has been focusing on the research and application of system simulation and informatization of manufacturing industry. He was the person in charge for the prototype of the first large spacecraft simulator, the technical director for the first automatic optimization machine, the leader in the development of the first continuous system simulation language and complex system simulation language, and the chief engineer of the first large demonstration system of distributed simulation and several complex system simulation projects in China. As the chief engineer of the integrated manufacturing system of several astronautic products, he brought up ideas and technological systems of integrated manufacturing system of complex products, manufacturing grid, cloud manufacturing and so on. He is President of Chinese Association for System Simulation. At present, he is leading the research on the first high-performance computer simulation system of complex systems.
He has won a first prize and three third prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, other two national prizes and 16 ministry-level prizes. His publications include over 270 papers, 12 monographs and four translations. In 2012, he won Lifetime Achievement Award and was listed in the Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame of the Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS).
