Wang Jun (1935.7—) is a professor and PhD supervisor in the School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering of Beihang University, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (elected in 2001).
Prof. Wang graduated from Beijing Institute of Aeronautics (now known as Beihang University) in 1959, and has been working here ever since then. He is also the chairman of Association for Science and Technology of Beihang, executive member of the council of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR), director of academic committee for State Key Laboratory of Astronautic Propellant Preparation and Transport, and also the leader of expert group of the Chinese National “973” Project.
Prof. Wang is a famous expert on man-machine and environment engineering, as well as air conditioning & refrigeration. He has presided over the design and fabrication of more than 20 major projects, and most of them are key environment simulation and air refrigeration facilities with international advanced level, which makes a significant contribution to national defense construction and the development of environmental technology.
Prof. Wang has won two second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, a third prize of the National Invention Award, a first prize of China Guanghua Science & Technology Fund, four first prizes of National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and seven second prizes and five third prizes of provincial and ministerial level. He has published three academic monographs and more than 150 papers. He also holds more than ten authorized invention patents.
