Wu Zhe

Wu Zhe (1957, 2—) is a professor in Beihang University. In 2005, Prof. Wu was elected as a distinguished professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program.

Prof. Wu received his PhD degree in Harbin Institute of Technology in1988, and started teaching in Beihang University from 1991. He was head of the Deparment of Flight Vehicle Design and Applied Mechanics, and Vice President of Beihang University. He volunteered to resign the vice-president post and began to devote to teaching and scientific research in 2004.

Prof. Wu’s research areas include aircraft configuration, electromagnetic scattering, and low observable technology. He has made many contributions to the related research. For example, he made new discoveries on electromagnetic scattering of aircraft shape and weakly scattering objects; in numerical calculation of the electromagnetic scattering field, he studied the stability and convergence of the moment method, and proposed the modified panel method.
