On the morning of September 6, Beihang held a ceremony at the Sunrise Concert Hall to mark the 40th Teachers' Day, honoring winners of the 7th Beihang Moral Education and Talent Cultivation Awards,teachers who have been teaching for 30 years, retired teachers, as well as outstanding teacher representatives who have made great contributions in the fields of Party building and ideological and political work, teaching and talent cultivation, and scientific and technological innovation.
At the ceremony, Wang Yunpeng expressed warm congratulations to the award-winning teachers, paid high respect to the retired teachers and those who have been teaching for 30 years, and expressed heartfelt thanks to all the faculty and staff who have worked hard for the reform and development of the university. He acknowledged the great achievements of the past year, and hoped that all teachers will continue to work hard for the development of the university, speeding up the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
Vice Presidents Lyu Jinhu and Deng Yi presented retirement commemorative medal and flowers to the retired teacher representatives. Vice Presidents Lyu Weifeng and Zhao Weisheng awarded honorary certificates and flowers to teachers who have been teaching for 30 years. Liu Hongcang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, presented flowers to the award-winning teachers in the fields of Party building and ideological and political work. Vice President Zhang Hailan awarded flowers to teachers recognized for their contributions to education and talent cultivation. Vice President Liu Shuchun presented flowers to teachers recognized for their achievements in scientific and technological innovation. President Wang Yunpeng presented the "Beihang Distinction Award for Moral Education and Talent Cultivation" trophy, while Party Secretary Zhao Changlu awarded the "Beihang Excellence Award for Moral Education and Talent Cultivation" trophy.
On behalf of the Party Committee of the university, Zhao Changlu extended holiday greetings and sincere wishes to the hard-working and dedicated teachers, expressed sincere thanks to the retired teachers who have always cared about and supported the development of the university and the teachers who have been teaching for 30 years, extended warm congratulations to all awarded teachers, and sincerely welcomed all new teachers who have joined Beihang University. He stressed the spirit of educators, and put forward some expectations for teachers.
