Abstract:

The talk is structured around four key themes:

Micro-marratives: Approaching history through personal experience

Future media lab: An experimental field for interdisciplinary creation

Entering the public sphere: The public dimension of art and social participation

The unknown in practice: How do we situate our souls and bodies in the digital age?

About the Speaker:

Zhang Xiaotao holds a Ph.D. from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and serves as a Visiting Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. He is a leading figure in Chinese new media art. His work has been featured in major international exhibitions, including the 55th Venice Biennale, the 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT7), the 2nd Prague Biennale, the 6th Moscow Biennale, and the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. His works are held in the collections of major art museums and foundations worldwide.
