Abstract:
Aero-engine is a pillar of national strength and an important manifestation of a country's scientific and technological capability and innovation. By reviewing the development history and achievements of the industry, this lecture introduces the breakthroughs in key technologies of advanced aero-engines. Considering future development trends, it analyzes the technological development directions of aero-engines in terms of integration, high efficiency, new-quality capabilities, high speed, and greening, emphasizes the critical role of strengthening basic scientific research and breakthroughs in common technologies, and offers reflections and prospects for future development.
About the Speaker:
Academician Huang Weina is the Chief Model Designer of Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC), a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Chief Technical Expert of the National Defense Basic Research Program (973 Program). Having long been engaged in basic research, technology development, and product development of aero-engines, she has served as the Chief Designer for multiple aero-engine models, making outstanding contributions to China's independent development and innovation of aero-engines.
She has received one second prize of National Technological Invention Award, over ten provincial / ministerial-level scientific and technological achievement awards, and holds more than 130 authorized invention patents. She has also published two monographs and two translated works. She has been honored with titles including National Advanced Worker, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, National May 1 Labor Medal, and the Feng Ru Aviation Science and Technology Elite Award.
