Violin Recital by Katerina Chatzinikolau

Result Announcement: Successful participants will be notified at 15:00 on April 23 via the “Weiyan Hangyu” WeChat public account's comment section and through the iBeihang app message notification system.

Eligibility: All undergraduate, postgraduate students, and faculty members are welcome to register by scanning the QR code below. Students can also lick the link (https://bykc.buaa.edu.cn) to access the BoYa Class platform and register for the event. If registrations exceed venue capacity, a lottery will be conducted to randomly select participants (selected undergraduates will be credited for the Boya Class).

Ticket Collection: 

No physical tickets are required. Please bring your campus card and show the Boya Class registration interface or the successful registration notification to enter the venue. Seats are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the Performer:

Katerina Chatzinikolau, the violinist, has been hailed for her “radiant vitality and impeccable technique” by Rheinische Post. As the first female concertmaster in Greece, she currently serves as the principal violinist of the Athens National Symphony Orchestra.

Chatzinikolau’s career highlights include leading roles with the Duisburg Philharmonic and Bergische Symphoniker orchestras. In July 2022, she made her solo debut at the International Kalamata Music Festival under the baton of renowned conductor Christoph Eschenbach. She has won top prizes at numerous international competitions, including the Golden Classical Music Awards, Greece Muse International Competition, and Thöne International Competition. Her accolades also extend to performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Cologne Philharmonic Hall, and Beijing Concert Hall.

In addition to her live performances, Katerina creates music videos that showcase her creativity and virtuosity, garnering millions of views on YouTube and Instagram. She has collaborated with esteemed orchestras like the Berlin Deutsche Symphonie and Athens Philharmonic among others.
