About the Performance:
Set in 19th-century Paris, the story follows Violetta, a renowned courtesan known as "La Traviata" for her signature camellia. Moved by the sincere affection of the young Alfredo, she falls in love with him and resolves to leave behind the glittering but hollow social whirl of Paris.
However, their happiness is interrupted by the arrival of Alfredo's father, who begs Violetta to give up Alfredo for the sake of his family's reputation and his son's future. Heartbroken, Violetta returns to her former life in Paris without revealing the truth.
Unaware of her sacrifice, Alfredo publicly humiliates her in a fit of rage and jealousy. Already suffering from tuberculosis, Violetta's health collapses. In her final moments, Alfredo's father confesses everything to his son. But forgiveness comes too late. Violetta dies in Alfredo's arms—a camellia fallen too soon.
