About the Exhibition:

This exhibition is a wonderful continuation of the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Craftsmanship Collection" online mother-of-pearl inlay experience activity, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Educational Workers' Union.

Since the launch of the activity, female faculty and staff from universities and colleges across Beijing have participated enthusiastically and created works with exquisite craftsmanship. Using natural shells as materials, they have integrated the charm of oriental aesthetics with the ingenuity of women through cutting, inlaying and polishing, turning them into hairpins, brooches and bracelets. In this way, the national intangible cultural heritage has been revitalized with a vibrant glow at their fingertips.

A total of 150 outstanding works have been carefully selected from more than 1,500 pieces for this exhibition. Presented by theme, they showcase the female faculty and staff's understanding of this intangible cultural heritage, their appreciation of the beauty in life, and their tribute to the splendor of spring.
