On the morning of April 12, a voluntary tree-planting activity was held at the Shahe Campus of Beihang University. Among the attendees were Beihang Party Committee Secretary Zhao Changlu, President Wang Yunpeng, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection He Xinzhou, Vice President Liu Shuchun, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Cheng Bo, Vice President Lyu Weifeng, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Yang Lijun, Vice Presidents Zhao Weisheng, Lyu Jinhu, and Deng Yi, as well as teachers and students from various schools and departments.

The activity was carried out in a busy yet orderly manner. Participants dug pits, planted seedlings, filled soil, and watered the saplings. They have planted in total 30 high-quality saplings, including the red maple, red plum, high-pole rose and other species, creating an area of beauty on the Shahe Campus.

In order to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization on campus, the Party and Government Office, the Department of General Affairs and the Department of Student Affairs jointly organized this activity, aiming to comply with the requirement of protecting the nature and cherish green resources, enhance students’ environmental protection awareness through practice, and promote the construction of a green campus.

The tree-planting activity improves the quality of the learning, working and living environment for teachers and students, creating a green, harmonious and livable outdoor environment.
