Liu Zhixi, a postgraduate student from the Sports Department of Beihang University, delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup held in Tokyo from April 26 to 27. Competing against over 100 elite athletes from 19 countries and regions—including qualifiers from the Chengdu World Games—Liu secured sixth place in the Mixed Pairs category and seventh in Women’s Individual, while earning the title of International Master of Sports.

This marks another milestone for Liu, who last year claimed a team bronze at the World Aerobic Gymnastics Championships. Since February 2025, she has undergone rigorous training at the Beijing Sport University’s Erqi National Winter Sports Training and Research Base, where she overcame injuries through relentless perseverance, honing her artistry and athleticism to represent China on the global stage.
As a postgraduate student specializing in Sports Science, Liu reflects, “Every step in my academic and athletic journey proves the value of dedication. This experience will fuel my pursuit of excellence in sports research and beyond.”

Balancing academics, training, and competition, Liu has exemplified Beihang University’s motto of “Integrating Virtue with Brilliance and Combining Knowledge with Practice,” showcasing the resilience and brilliance of China’s next-generation athletes.
