Beihang University has once again secured the highest honor at the 2025 "Challenge Cup" Capital College Student Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition, marking its seventh straight title since 2019.

In the main competition, all 15 of Beihang’s entries advanced to the final review, setting a university record for the highest number of shortlisted projects. The team brought home five grand prizes, seven first prizes, and three second prizes, tying for first place in the number of undergraduate grand prizes. The overall team score also hit a record high.
In the “Open Competition” special track, which featured 60 challenge topics across Beijing, Beihang students claimed 19 championship awards (the highest number in Beijing), along with 8 grand prizes, 15 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 17 third prizes, setting a new historic record. The "AI+" special track saw equally impressive results, with 16 grand prizes, 27 first prizes, 41 second prizes, and 43 third prizes. Notably, Beihang claimed the most grand prizes in the "AI+" application subcategory among all participating universities.
In total, Beihang won 212 awards across all categories, with 1,104 students and 368 faculty members recognized. The outstanding performance reaffirmed the university’s strength in innovation and academic excellence.
During the closing ceremony, Beihang’s award-winning project—"SkyEye Interpreter: A Foundational Model for Ultra-Wide-Area Efficient Remote Sensing Interpretation"—was showcased in a live demonstration.
Organized by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, and the Beijing Students’ Federation, the "Challenge Cup" is a flagship competition guiding and inspiring scientific innovation among university students. The 2025 edition was hosted by Beijing Information Science and Technology University, attracting over 200,000 students from 82 universities with 7,164 projects.
