On September 4, a delegation led by Im Sio Kei, Rector of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), visited Beihang University. Zhao Weisheng, Vice President of Beihang University, met with the guests in the conference room of Hall 1, accompanied by leaders from relevant departments including the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, the Academic Affairs Department, the Graduate School, the School of Reliability and Systems Engineering, and the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering.

Zhao Weisheng extended a warm welcome to the guests. He pointed out that Beihang is actively constructing a global cooperation framework characterized by "inclusiveness, innovation, and synergy," and attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with universities in the Macao SAR. In recent years, the two universities have engaged in in-depth cooperation and maintained close interactions, with complementary disciplinary layouts and a solid foundation for collaboration. Both sides have achieved fruitful results in various areas, including student exchange programs and faculty research cooperation, with broad prospects for future collaboration. Looking ahead, Beihang is willing to continue exploring new cooperation models and expanding new areas of collaboration with MPU, leveraging the high-quality resources of the Hangzhou International Campus to drive new progress in various cooperative endeavors.
Im Sio Kei expressed gratitude for the warm reception at Beihang and introduced the recent developments and future plans of MPU. He stated that MPU is actively integrating into the overall national development, continuously optimizing its disciplinary layout, and enhancing its capabilities in education, research, and social services. He hoped to further deepen cooperation with Beihang, expand resource sharing in key disciplinary areas of mutual interest, and jointly innovate new models for educational and research collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the Beijing Air and Space Museum, the National Key Laboratory of Virtual Reality Technology and Systems, and the Center for Micro-Nano Innovation of Beihang (Beihang Nano).

MPU is one of the top polytechnic universities in Macao. It is a member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance, the Language Big Data Alliance, the World Interpreter and Translator Training Association, and the Greater Bay Area Portuguese Language Education Alliance. The university comprises multiple faculties and departments, including Art and Design, Applied Sciences, and Management Sciences. It is the first and only higher education institution in Macao to have won the "National Teaching Achievement Award" twice consecutively, and also the only institution in China to have received the "APQN Quality Award" on four occasions. Adhering to the governance standards of "internationalizing teaching standards, standardizing research endeavors, digitizing campus facilities, and legalizing administrative operations," MPU has made significant contributions to the development of both the nation and Macao in teaching, research, and social services.
