On the afternoon of September 10, Beihang University held a conference at the Sunrise Concert Hall to mark the 41st Teachers' Day, honoring faculty and staff for their outstanding contributions.

The conference began with a video titled "Building Dreams," which highlighted how Beihang teachers, guided by the spirit of educators, have carried out the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, upheld the Beihang spirit of "serving the country through aerospace endeavors" at its core, and lived up to the expectations of the Party, the people, and the times.

Vice Presidents Deng Yi and Wu Jianghao presented retirement mementos and bouquets to representatives of retiring faculty.

Vice Presidents Lyu Weifeng and Zhao Weisheng awarded honorary certificates and flowers to faculty representatives with thirty years of teaching service.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Cheng Bo presented awards to faculty representatives recognized for their work in Party building and ideological and political education.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Liu Hongcang honored faculty representatives for excellence in teaching and education.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Liu Shuchun awarded faculty representatives for achievements in scientific and technological innovation.

Professor Gui Haichao from the School of Astronautics led new faculty members in taking the oath of induction.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Committee Zhao Changlu pinned the university badges on the representatives of newly recruited faculty members.

On behalf of the University, Secretary Zhao extended festive greetings and best wishes to all faculty, staff, and retired teachers, offered warm congratulations to the honored awardees, and expressed a sincere welcome to the newly joined young teachers.

Secretary Zhao stated that Beihang faculty have long fully implemented the Party's education policy, guided by the spirit of educators, and kept in mind the core mission of fostering virtue through education. Their efforts have continuously achieved new results in the development of the university, producing various outstanding achievements and writing the Beihang chapter of staying true to the original aspiration and strengthening education to revitalize the nation.

"Our faculty and staff are the university's most valuable asset and the core force driving its development, who possess a broad career stage and shoulder significant responsibilities and missions," said Secretary Zhao. He put forward three hopes for all faculty: first, strengthen ideals and beliefs while nurturing noble professional ethics; second, enhance capabilities and courageously undertake the mission of promoting learning and educating people; and third, always maintain a benevolent heart to guide students in their growth.

University leadership, representatives of awarded faculty, heads of various departments, as well as faculty and student representatives attended the conference.
