At the 7th Zhejiang International Intelligent Transportation Industry Expo held on December 11, 2025, an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records announced that the "Tianmushan-1" drone (production model) has set a new world record for the "Longest distance flight of a hydrogen powered multirotor/drone."

The record-breaking flight was successfully completed over the Hangzhou International Campus of Beihang University on November 16, 2025. The "Tianmushan-1" hydrogen powered multirotor drone achieved an uninterrupted flight distance of 188.605 kilometers in 4 hours, 17 minutes, and 55 seconds. Following a rigorous real-time monitoring and verification process by Guinness World Records officials, the flight data and results were certified as fully compliant with the organization's strict standards. The drone's power system demonstrated remarkable stability throughout the challenge, coupled with excellent handling performance, ultimately setting the new benchmark.

The "Tianmushan-1" represents the first landmark achievement in the low-altitude economy sector released by Tianmushan Laboratory. Following its successful maiden flight in August 2024, the drone entered mass production in April 2025 at its spin-off company, Hangzhou Tianmu Hydroc Technology Co., Ltd. Designed specifically for long-endurance, low-altitude missions, this hydrogen powered drone serves a wide range of fields. Its applications include high-speed rail ecological inspection, oil and gas pipeline patrols, new energy power station operation and maintenance, island transportation, urban traffic management, and emergency rescue operations.

Approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, Tianmushan Laboratory was officially inaugurated in June 2022. Co-planned and constructed concurrently with the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University (H3I), the laboratory is managed by Beihang and located within its Hangzhou International Campus. Aligning closely with national strategies and emerging industrial demands, Tianmushan Laboratory focuses on advanced aviation technologies and high-performance aviation materials.
Together with H3I, the laboratory will jointly advance the development of Beihang's low-altitude disciplines, and build a complete innovation ecosystem spanning fundamental research, key technological breakthroughs, and the efficient commercialization of research outcomes. It is committed to continuously fueling innovation for developing new quality productive forces in the low-altitude economy, contributing to Zhejiang's goal of becoming a strong civil aviation hub and a highland for low-altitude economic growth.
