On January 6, the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between Beihang University and Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Co., Ltd. (HICAL) was held at the Lecture Hall of Ruxin Conference Center. 

Attendees included Wang Yunpeng, President of Beihang University; Yang Tianliang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of HICAL; Guo Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of HICAL; Fan Feng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of HICAL; as well as Lyu Jinhu and Wu Jianghao, Vice Presidents of Beihang University. The ceremony was presided over by Lyu Jinhu.

Wang Yunpeng extended a warm welcome to the HICAL delegation. He emphasized that Beihang University has always remained committed to serving national strategic needs and has achieved a series of significant accomplishments in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and scientific research. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that both sides would fully leverage their respective advantages and pragmatically advance cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, achievement transformation, and industry-university joint talent cultivation. By deepening industry-education integration, they aim to establish a benchmark and exemplary model for university-enterprise cooperation, support the development of commercial aerospace via exploring new application scenarios, and make further contributions to the advancement of the nation's aerospace industry.

Yang Tianliang expressed gratitude to Beihang University for its longstanding support to HICAL and commended the remarkable achievements in Beihang's development. He provided an overview of HICAL's development and future plans. Yang stated that he hopes this signing will serve as an opportunity for both parties to further deepen cooperation in areas such as joint scientific research and collaborative industry-university talent cultivation, achieving mutual benefits and win-win outcomes. He emphasized their commitment to contributing to the implementation of national strategies.

During the ceremony, Guo Qiang and Lyu Jinhu, representing both sides, signed the cooperation agreement between HICAL and Beihang University. Yang Tianliang, Fan Feng, Wang Yunpeng, and Wu Jianghao witnessed the signing.

Prior to the signing ceremony, the HICAL delegation visited Beihang University's Scientific and Technological Achievements Exhibition and Beijing Air and Space Museum.

In accordance with the agreement, both parties will adhere to the principles of "resource sharing, complementary strengths, win-win cooperation, and common development." By leveraging the respective advantages of HICAL and Beihang University, they will collaborate on scientific and technological innovation, jointly build an intelligent launch demonstration zone, promote project-based industry-university talent cultivation, and explore diversified cooperation, providing comprehensive support for the high-quality development of commercial aerospace.

Representatives from the Human Resources Department of HICAL and relevant departments of Beihang University, including the Institute of Science and Technology, attended the event.
