On March 11, over 300 faculty and students from Beihang University's Hangzhou International Campus took part in a tree-planting ceremony, adding green strokes to the landscape and sowing seeds of hope for a shared future.
The event opened with addresses from Shao Yinghua, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Department at Beihang, and Zhou Lianbing, President of the Beihang University Zhejiang Alumni Association. The Zhejiang Alumni Association donated an assortment of fruit tree saplings for the occasion, symbolizing the deep-rooted connection between alumni and their alma mater.
Armed with shovels and spades, participants engaged in every step of the process—digging pits, supporting saplings, backfilling soil, and watering. Amid the turning soil, fruit trees including peach, loquat, pear, and cherry stood tall and firm under the sunlight.
The labor education, however, extends far beyond Arbor Day, having long taken root and flourished across all seasons at the Hangzhou International Campus. Since 2025, the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University has been advancing labor education curricula that blend creativity with practical value, reaching more than 1,000 attendances.
