On March 12, a delegation led by Liu Yanling, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chair of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and Chair of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League, visited Beihang University for discussions and exchange.

Zhao Changlu, Secretary of the CPC Beihang University Committee, met with the delegation at the Ruxin Conference Center. The meeting was also attended by Jia Ning, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; Cao Yuanxin, Full-time Member of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; Zhou Ruwei, Deputy Director of the Talent Development Bureau, Hainan Province; as well as Zhao Weisheng and Deng Yi, Vice Presidents of Beihang University.

Zhao Changlu extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and introduced the talent cultivation, high-end talent recruitment and development, international education, and university-local cooperation of Beihang University. He noted that the university adheres to open education, seizes development opportunities proactively, and promotes the deep integration of educational reform with scientific and technological progress and social development. Looking ahead, he hoped to explore diversified cooperation models with Hainan Province. By leveraging Hainan's resource advantages and Beihang's strengths, both sides can expand cooperation areas and application scenarios, strengthen scientific and technological innovation, target talent introduction and cultivation, and promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, so as to achieve mutual benefits, and contribute continuously to the implementation of national strategies.

Liu Yanling congratulated Beihang on its outstanding development achievements. She stated that Hainan Free Trade Port is deepening reform and opening-up in an all-round way and promoting high-quality development, with continuous release of policy dividends and opportunities. She expressed hope to fully exchange and learn from Beihang's valuable experience, strengthen the regular communication mechanism between both sides, further optimize cooperation models, and precisely align cooperation needs. She emphasized deepening collaboration in student cultivation, scientific research, talent recruitment and development, and platform coordination, thereby unleashing the innovative vitality of talent and supporting the construction of a new development paradigm for the country.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Scientific and Technological Achievements Exhibition of Beihang University. The two sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing cooperation and exploring development prospects, focusing on innovative models for talent recruitment and cultivation, as well as closer university-local collaboration.

Also present at the meeting were heads of relevant departments, including the Committee on Population, Resources and the Environment and Urban Construction of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, the Office of the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and the Administrative Office and the International Relations Department of Beihang University.
