President Wang Yunpeng visits Xiong'an New Area and Tianjin to deepen university-enterprise cooperation

From April 29 to 30, President Wang Yunpeng led a delegation to Xiong'an New Area and Tianjin for enterprise research and exchanges, focusing on advancing the transformation of research outcomes, industry-education integration, and university-enterprise cooperation. Lyu Jinhu, Vice President of Beihang University, participated in the events.

On the morning of April 29, Wang Yunpeng visited China Xiong'an Group, where he met with Lu Liying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager of China Xiong'an Group, and held a work symposium.

Lu Liying expressed gratitude to Beihang University for its continuous support and assistance in the development of Xiong'an New Area. He stated that Xiong'an Group is highly optimistic about the future prospects of university-local government and university-enterprise cooperation. The group will fully leverage and coordinate its high-quality resources to promote pragmatic cooperation, advance the deep integration of innovation chains, industrial chains, capital chains, and talent chains, and contribute to the development of Xiong'an New Area.

During the symposium, Zhai Wei, Member of the Party Committee, Executive Director, and Deputy General Manager of China Xiong'an Group, noted that the group will further enhance resource allocation and service guarantees, precisely align with Beihang's needs in technological innovation and outcome transformation, deepen university-enterprise cooperation, and contribute to the high-quality construction of Xiong'an New Area. Wang Yanwei, Director of the Development and Reform Bureau and Director of the Industry, Information Technology, Science, and Data Bureau of Xiong'an New Area, introduced the area's development and future work plans, stating that Xiong'an New Area will provide maximum sincerity and best services to ensure shared benefits and mutual development.

Wang Yunpeng introduced Beihang's progress in discipline construction, talent cultivation, technological innovation, and faculty development. He emphasized that Beihang will align with national strategic needs, leverage its strengths in disciplines, research, and talent, and closely match Xiong'an New Area's industrial structure and development positioning. The university plans to establish platforms in frontier interdisciplinary fields such as future aerospace and electromagnetic security, promote the establishment of normalized cooperation mechanisms with Xiong'an, and advance cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and outcome transformation. Beihang will plan major projects with Xiong'an, expand application scenarios, integrate education, technology, and talent development, better serve Xiong'an's economic and social development, and create a model for university-local government collaboration, contributing to Chinese-style modernization.

At Beijing Yuding Advanced Materials & Additive Manufacturing Research Institute Co., Ltd., Wang Yunpeng toured relevant experimental platforms and learned about its latest research progress. Wang Huaming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Additive Manufacturing for Large Metal Components, and Founder of Beijing Yuding Advanced Materials & Additive Manufacturing Research Institute Co., Ltd., along with Yang Huiqing, Chief Accountant of China Xiong'an Group and Executive Director of its Investment Company, attended the symposium.

Wang Yunpeng stated that Beihang has continuously strengthened organized research and promoted industry-education integration to support high-quality talent cultivation. Looking ahead, Beihang will precisely align with the needs of enterprises commercializing research outcomes, fully support their innovation and development, promote industry-education integration, and accelerate the transfer and transformation of technological outcomes. Additionally, Beihang will closely align with Xiong'an New Area's economic structure and industrial characteristics, implement comprehensive measures for transforming research outcomes, and actively cultivate and develop new quality productive forces.

During the visit, Wang Yunpeng also attended the Symposium on the Development and Construction of Universities in Xiong'an New Area.

On April 30, Wang Yunpeng led the delegation to Tianjin to conduct research at China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (CRCB). Both sides held in-depth discussions on university-enterprise cooperation plans, project construction, and the transformation of technological outcomes.

At the symposium, Zhou Guannan, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRCB, warmly welcomed Wang Yunpeng and the delegation. He detailed the company's development status and future strategic layout. Zhou noted that in the new development stage, the group is deepening industrial chain extensions, intensifying efforts to expand overseas markets such as Brazil, and actively promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation. He expressed hope that through cooperation projects in areas such as unmanned transport on major corridors, CRCB and Beihang would deepen communication, accelerate the industrial transformation of technological outcomes, and achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual benefits.

Wang Yunpeng expressed sincere gratitude to CRCB for its long-term support of the university's development. He emphasized that Beihang adheres to high-level planning, high-standard advancement, and high-quality implementation, focusing on long-term development. Looking forward, he hoped both sides would deepen university-enterprise collaborative innovation, particularly in building a benchmark for cooperation in unmanned transport on major corridors. Additionally, focusing on strategic layout in Brazil, including local service support and the joint establishment of laboratories, both sides will strengthen collaboration in talent cultivation, key technological breakthroughs, and other areas to achieve new results in high-quality development.

Before the symposium, Wang Yunpeng and the delegation toured CRCB's History Museum and Engineering Innovation Research Institute, gaining detailed insights into the company's development history, major engineering achievements, and technological innovation outcomes.

Representatives from Beihang's Party and Administration Office, Institute of Science and Technology, Xiong'an Campus Construction Office, School of Transportation Science and Engineering, BUAA Holdings Co., Ltd., and relevant investment institutions participated in the events.
