On the evening of June 14, Beihang University held its graduation gala for the Class of 2026 at the Xueyuan Road Campus. The event was a grand artistic celebration blending youthful aspirations, aerospace spirit, and a deep sense of national dedication, conveying heartfelt farewell wishes to graduates.

Nearly 3,000 attendees gathered for the occasion, including Zhao Changlu, Secretary of the CPC Beihang University Committee, Wang Yunpeng, President of Beihang, other university leaders, heads of various schools and departments, faculty representatives, and undergraduate and graduate students from across all schools and colleges.

With the theme "Love Letters from Beihang," the gala unfolded in three chapters: "A Prelude to Youth," "A Guiding Light for the Journey Ahead," and "A Confession to the Sky."
The evening opened with a dance piece titled "Day One," evoking students' early campus experiences. A subsequent segment, "College Roll Call," featured flag bearers from the School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience. A medley performance of "Chapter" wove together warm memories of friendship, faculty mentorship, and the bittersweet feelings of departure.

In the first chapter, the performance "Ancient Rhymes and Modern Light" integrated traditional opera, martial arts, and folk music, showcasing students' pride in their cultural heritage. The student dance troupe performed "Dancing Dreams of Youth," while a special chorus featuring campus security, dormitory staff, cleaning crews, and cafeteria workers offered their heartfelt blessings to the graduating students.

The second chapter opened with a short film "The Confidence to Journey Far," highlighting the often-unseen university staff whose support underpins student success. A musical performance "The Self Running in the Light" celebrated perseverance and the pursuit of dreams. The chapter closed with a choral medley sung by student advisors for the Class of 2026, titled "Resonance on This Journey," expressing years of companionship and farewell wishes.

The third chapter turned toward the future. The 27th and 28th Beihang Graduate Teaching Support Teams, joined by students from Ningxia, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Shanxi, performed "We Sing for You," paying tribute to Beihang's dedication to serving the nation. A short film, "My Youth, My Miracle," revisited transformative "firsts" in students' academic journeys, from piloting drones to winning national competitions. The choir performed "Chasing Dreams," a soaring piece about exploring the skies, followed by the dance "The Long River Flows On," symbolizing the generational torch of aerospace ambition.

The event ended with all performers on stage singing "The Sky," followed by a collective send-off from the hosts and the audience. With confidence and resilience, the graduates are ready to embark on a new chapter of their lives and strive for greater excellence.
