In the 2026 Beijing College Students Engineering Practice and Innovation Competition, Beihang students claimed 6 grand prizes, 5 first prizes, and 5 second prizes.
Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and co-organized by the Engineering Training Research Branch of the Beijing Higher Education Society, the Fundamental Industry Training Center of Tsinghua University, China Agricultural University, and Beijing Technology and Business University, the competition featured seven categories: Solar-Powered Electric Vehicle, Intelligent Logistics Transport, Intelligent Rescue, Intelligent Production Line Design and Simulation, Future Technology Exploration, Enterprise Operation Simulation, and Engineering Culture, attracting teams from multiple universities across Beijing. Beihang organized 16 teams to compete in six of the seven categories, achieving an outstanding result.

Following the release of the competition guidelines, the Engineering Practice and Innovation Center, with strong support from the Department of Academic Affairs, established an organizing committee for the university-level selection, serving as a solid backing for the competition preparation.
After rigorous selection, a total of 56 Beihang students from various majors across different schools were organized into 16 teams to represent the university in the competition, fully reflecting the competition's core philosophy of interdisciplinary crossover, integration of humanities and sciences, and combination of theory and practice. Under the guidance of their advisors, the students spent months refining their proposals and preparing intensively in their spare time. Their outstanding performance in the competition demonstrated Beihang students' exceptional engineering innovation mindset, solid hands-on skills, and excellent teamwork, and also showcased the university's long-standing commitment to advancing engineering practice education reform and continuously improving the quality of innovative talent cultivation.

Beijing College Students Engineering Practice and Innovation Competition is a key engineering competition strongly supported by the Ministry of Education, and a high-end engineering innovation event with distinctive Chinese characteristics. It aims to build a world-class engineering practice and innovation education system with Chinese characteristics, elevate the quality of engineering talent cultivation, and cultivate outstanding innovative talents capable of shouldering the great mission of national rejuvenation.
