From July 20 to 23, a delegation led by Deputy Party Secretary Cheng Bo visited Italy to deepen scientific and educational cooperation between China and Italy. Representatives from the International Relations Department and the Department of General Affairs accompanied the visit.

In Milan, the delegation visited Politecnico di Milano and held talks with Giuliano Noci, Vice Rector for the Chinese Campus and Sergio Pignari, International Relationships Delegate. The two sides reviewed the international cooperation achievements in recent years and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as co-organizing international events, jointly applying for multilateral cooperation projects, and expanding high-level international talent cultivation programs. They reached broad consensus on strengthening student exchange, advancing engineering talent development, and deepening collaboration in science and education.

After the talks, the delegation also toured the campus of Politecnico di Milano.

In Turin, the delegation visited Politecnico di Torino and held meetings with Alberto Sapora, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and Stefano Zucca, Vice Rector for Human and Economic Resources. The two sides exchanged views on expanding high-level international talent cultivation and research collaboration in fields such as mechanical engineering, energy, and power, reaching multiple consensuses. During the talks, they signed a cooperation agreement on the Beihang–Politecnico di Torino Joint Laboratory for Blade Dynamics Design and Analysis.

Following the meetings, the delegation visited the AERMEC Laboratory.

During the visit, the delegation met with Beihang dual-degree students and exchange students studying in Italy, learning about their study and living conditions. They encouraged the students to cherish their overseas study opportunities, actively serve as ambassadors of friendship, and contribute to China-Italy exchanges and cooperation.

This visit marks a key step in advancing the "Global Beihang" initiative and implementing the "UPS" international strategy. It further consolidated the university's scientific and educational cooperation with leading Italian institutions, laid a solid foundation for expanding high-level Sino-Italian collaborative projects, and holds significant importance for promoting the high-quality international development of the university.
