On October 13, Xu Chaofeng, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, visited Beihang University. Wang Yunpeng, Secretary of the CPC Beihang University Committee, met with Xu Chaofeng and his delegation. Ma Jun, Director of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education, Chen Wangyuan, Director of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Zhao Weisheng and Deng Yi, Vice Presidents of Beihang University, attended the meeting.

Wang Yunpeng welcomed Xu Chaofeng and his delegation, expressed gratitude to Shanxi Province for its long-term strong support to the university, and introduced the university's recent achievements in discipline development, talent cultivation, and scientific and technological innovation. He pointed out that Beihang attaches great importance to university-provincial cooperation and actively serves regional economic and social development. The university shares deep historical ties with Shanxi Province, with a solid foundation for cooperation and broad prospects. 

Looking ahead, Beihang will give full play to its own advantages, further improve the long-term cooperation mechanism between the two sides, carry out organized and targeted alignment, deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, enrollment and employment, integrated development of universities and secondary schools, and rural revitalization, strive to produce more landmark outcomes, and continuously promote deeper and more substantive university-provincial cooperation.

Xu Chaofeng expressed gratitude to Beihang for its long-term support for Shanxi's economic and social development. He pointed out that at present, the whole province is firmly and orderly advancing transformational development and accelerating the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation. Shanxi Province and Beihang have yielded fruitful cooperation results and enjoy huge development potential. 

He hoped that Beihang can further leverage its disciplinary and research advantages, and both sides can closely align with Shanxi's economic and social development and industrial structure, focus on key areas such as the low-altitude economy, artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace, virtual reality, and smart mining applications, actively expand cooperation directions, carry out comprehensive and in-depth pragmatic cooperation, facilitate the translation and application of more scientific and technological achievements in Shanxi, empower industrial upgrading, and drive high-quality development with new quality productive forces.

Xu Chaofeng and his delegation also visited the Scientific and Technological Achievements Exhibition of Beihang University. Heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
