Abstract:

The symbiosis of the virtual and real not only expands the perceptual dimensions and interaction modalities of design, but also pushes design decision-making from an experience-oriented paradigm toward a data-driven scientific process through data closed loops and real-time feedback. As a new quality productive force, digital intelligence technology reshapes the entire workflow from user insight and generative ideation to agile iteration within this framework, transforming static physical design objects into dynamically evolving "living systems." This lecture aims to construct a set of innovative design methodologies adapted to uncertainty and high-dimensional constraints, revealing how the integration of digital intelligence empowers design agents to achieve value co-creation in augmented reality, and providing theoretical support and practical pathways for the forward-looking design of smart products, intelligent scenarios, and social service systems.

About the Speaker:

Lu Yi, Associate Dean, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Art and Design, Beijing University of Technology. She is a National Cultural (Youth) Talent and serves as Deputy Director of the Art and Design Committee of the Beijing Artists Association, and Deputy Director of the Design Innovation Committee of the Beijing Interdisciplinary Science Society, among other positions.

She has led and participated in national-level projects including major special projects of the Ministry of Education, post-funding projects of the National Social Science Fund, special projects for ideological and political education in higher education institutions of the National Social Science Fund, projects of the China National Arts Fund, and innovation group projects of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. She has published more than 30 academic papers in top journals indexed by CSSCI, SCI,and SSCI. Her works have won international awards including the iF Design Award (Germany) and the Gold Award at the MUSE Design Awards (USA). She has received honors including Capital "Pioneer in Teaching and Educating," Chief Expert for Outstanding Professional Degree Cases of the Ministry of Education, High-Level Talent of the "Phoenix Plan" in Chaoyang District, Beijing, and Outstanding Young University Teacher Talent of Beijing during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
