On October 14, Hun-wei LEE, President of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) visited Beihang University. Vice Presidents Lyu Weifeng and Zhao Weisheng met with the delegation. Representatives from the Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and the International Institute for Interdisciplinary and Frontier also attended the meeting.
During the visit, Hun-wei LEE and his delegation toured the Digital Twin International Research Center and the State Key Laboratory of Virtual Reality Technology and Systems.

At the Digital Twin International Research Center, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with relevant center representatives. The representatives provided a detailed introduction to the center's foundational work and highlighted research progress in theoretical studies of digital twins in key fields. During the tour, the guests observed the MakeTwin system, independently developed by the center's team. Hun-wei LEE expressed high praise and admiration for the center's advanced achievements.
Subsequently, Hun-wei LEE and his delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Virtual Reality Technology and Systems at Beihang. Representatives from the School of Computer Science and Engineering introduced the laboratory's basic information and key accomplishments, and both sides exchanged views and discussed the practical applications of virtual reality technology in critical scenarios. Hun-wei LEE observed and operated the C919 virtual flight simulator.

MUST is the first international comprehensive research university approved by the Macau SAR government after Macau's return to China. It is a member of the International Association of Universities, the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Cooperation Alliance, China University Planetary Science Alliance, and Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macau University Alliance. The university excels in disciplines such as engineering, computer science, and materials science. In May 2024, Beihang President Wang Yunpeng visited MUST and signed an inter-university cooperation agreement. The two institutions have since achieved fruitful results in talent cultivation, faculty exchanges, and scientific research collaboration.
