Beihang University marked its 73rd anniversary on October 25 with a joyous homecoming, welcoming nearly 2,000 alumni back to campus for the festivities. The alumni gathered to reconnect with their alma mater, renew bonds with faculty and old friends, and share aspirations for a promising future.
The 2025 Alumni Homecoming Conference commenced at 10:00 AM in the Sunrise Concert Hall. The event was attended by over 800 participants, including University Party Secretary Zhao Changlu, other university leaders, heads of administrative and service departments, deans of schools and research institutes, and representatives of alumni, faculty, and students.


The conference kicked off with the solemn national anthem.

In his welcoming address, Party Secretary Zhao Changlu extended a warm welcome to the returning alumni and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the global Beihang community for their enduring care and support for the university's development. He also conveyed his sincere congratulations and high respect for the outstanding achievements alumni have made across various professions and industries.

Secretary Zhao briefed attendees on the university's recent progress, highlighting its integrated advancement in education, technology, and talent cultivation. He stated that Beihang remains committed to: fostering virtue and cultivating a new generation with aerospace aspirations; strengthening foundational disciplines and innovating to build a first-class academic system; serving national strategies and socio-economic development; implementing a talent-oriented strategy to attract top-tier professionals; enhancing its international reputation through open engagement; and improving the campus ecosystem for all members.
"The University's accomplishments rely not only on the dedicated efforts of our entire faculty and students but also on the steadfast support of our extensive alumni community," Secretary Zhao emphasized. He called on all Beihang members to carry forward the institution's red legacy and uphold the mission of serving the nation through aerospace endeavors. He urged all alumni to achieve excellence in their fields and contribute to national rejuvenation, and hoped that they will actively offer advice and leverage their resources to create a dynamic landscape of mutual empowerment and shared success.
Zhang Zhengxi, representing the Class of 1985 celebrating their 40th reunion, addressed the conference. An alumnus of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, and now Chairman of the Zhongguancun Angel Investment Research Association, he conveyed his blessings for the 73rd anniversary and gratitude for his education at Beihang. "Four decades have passed in the blink of an eye, bringing back countless youthful memories," he reflected. He pledged to join hands with the university and fellow alumni, integrating personal career pursuits into the cause of national development and leveraging this solidarity in support of his alma mater and country, thus writing a new chapter of glory for Beihang.

Wang Shiguang, representing the Class of 1995 marking their 30th reunion, shared his fond memories of student life at Beihang and expressed his profound respect and heartfelt thanks to the faculty. An alumnus of the School of Energy and Power Engineering and now Deputy General Manager of China Aviation Planning and Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., he noted, "In every milestone of the nation's aviation industry, there are figures from Beihang. 'Serving and strengthening the nation' is the firmest foundation for every one of us." He extended his sincere wishes for a happy 73rd anniversary and expressed his anticipation for Beihang to continue writing legends in the aerospace field.

Zhang Jing, representing the Class of 2005 celebrating their 20th reunion, recalled his academic journey and growth at Beihang and expressed pride in the university's recent achievements. An alumnus of the School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering and now Director of the General Office of National Key Laboratories, he stated, "No matter how long we have been away or how far we have traveled, the shared identity of 'Beihang Alumni' remains our deepest bond." He called on fellow alumni to embody the Beihang spirit, pursue excellence in their respective fields, and work collectively to witness new glories for their alma mater.

During the conference, representatives from the Class of 1995 presented bouquets to their teachers as a token of deep respect and gratitude for their nurturing guidance.



The anniversary celebrations also featured a simultaneous Carnival and an Anniversary Concert, offering returning alumni a warm, home-like atmosphere and the joy of the festive occasion.
