The Beihang University fencing team delivered an outstanding performance at the 29th National University Fencing Championships, clinching two gold medals and one silver medal, setting a new record in the university's history in this competition.

Held at Jinlong Gymnasium, Fuzhou University's Jinjiang Campus from November 2 to 8, the tournament was organized by the Federation of University Sports of China. Under the guidance of coach Zhang Yang from the Department of Sports, 15 Beihang fencers competed fiercely against strong opponents from across the nation.
In individual events, Yao Zhibo from the School of Aviation secured the gold medal in the Men's Sabre (Division A), while Li Weiqing from Chuanyuan College earned a silver in the Men's Épée (Division A).
The Men's Sabre team, composed of Yao Zhibo, Zhang Hanwen, Wang Sibo, and Li Kunyang, triumphed to claim the team gold. Meanwhile, the Women's Sabre team, comprised of Ye Lin, Liu Yiguo, and Liu Xinyan, achieved a fourth place in their category.
This year's championships featured both individual and team competitions across three weapon types: foil, épée, and sabre, for men and women. A total of 762 fencers from 105 universities nationwide took part in the event.
