On December 29, the 2026 New Year's Concert, presented by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, was held at the Sunrise Concert Hall of Beihang University. The concert brought people together through musical notes and heralded a new journey with its melodies. Over 800 teachers and students gathered to enjoy the uplifting prelude to the year 2026 in this musical feast.

The concert was conducted by renowned conductor Shao En, featuring a selection of classic Chinese and international works. Through various performance forms such as symphonic music and vocal performances, the concert created a joyful and festive atmosphere. Renowned Chinese and international pieces, including "Spring Festival Overture" "Mayila Variations" "O Sole Mio" and "Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67 (Fate Symphony)," echoed through the Sunrise Concert Hall, bringing the atmosphere to a continuous climax with prolonged applause.

With the integration of Chinese and Western classic repertoires and exquisite artistic presentation, the concert fully demonstrated its pursuit of refined aesthetics and professional artistic standards. The classic melodies evoked deep emotions, continuously strengthening the intrinsic motivation of the teachers and students to strive for excellence. It inspired them to dedicate themselves to building a world-class university with even greater enthusiasm and vigor, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
"From 'Spring Festival Overture' to Beethoven's 'Fate Symphony', Chinese and Western classics resonated and harmonized through their melodies," said Li Yilin, an undergraduate student from the School of Cyberspace Science and Technology. "The concert enabled me to truly feel the power of music transcending language—it both soothes the soul and uplifts the spirit. This artistic feast resonating within the campus is a vivid portrayal of the intertwining beauty of science and humanities, filling the New Year with warm and uplifting hope."
