On the evening of April 16, Beihang Aesthetic Education Center presented a concert titled "The Sound of Britain: From Classics to Cinema" at Yongman Theater, Shahe Campus. Three internationally renowned artists — pianist Clelia Iruzun, cellist Nick Roberts, and clarinetist Shelley Levy — jointly took the audience on an exquisite musical journey spanning classical masterpieces and cinematic scores for Beihang students and faculty, blending timeless classics with contemporary charm.

All three artists are distinguished figures on the international music scene. Pianist Clelia Iruzun has long been featured on BBC Radio 3, with her performances and recordings broadcast regularly on the channel. Cellist Nick Roberts, known as the "behind-the-scenes voice" of classic films and TV series, has contributed to the soundtrack recordings of blockbuster productions including Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. Clarinetist Shelley Levy, winner of the Netherlands Wind Instrument Competition, has performed alongside world-class ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

The concert opened gently with two classic trio works. Beethoven's Trio Op. 11 displayed the precision and vitality of classical music through its bright rhythms and rich emotions. Glinka's Trio Pathétique conveyed delicate emotional shifts through its profound melodies.
Following the theme "From Classics to Cinema," the program was thoughtfully curated, guiding the audience through different musical eras and styles. Highlights included the moving Gabriel's Oboe from The Mission, the warm and healing Edelweiss from The Sound of Music, the hopeful Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz, the Downton Abbey Suite capturing the elegance of British manors, and classic selections Maria and I Feel Pretty from the musical West Side Story. These beloved film and stage melodies, arranged for piano, cello, and clarinet trio, awakened vivid memories among the audience.
The concert concluded with three tango classics by Piazzolla: Oblivion, Adiós Nonino, and Libertango. Their vibrant rhythms and passionate performance created immense musical tension, earning thunderous applause from the audience. The three artists returned for an encore, bringing the concert to a perfect close.

The concert showcased a harmonious blend of classical music and cinematic melodies, attracting over 460 students and faculty members. It broadened their aesthetic horizons, deepened cross-cultural understanding, and infused fresh international artistic vitality into Beihang's campus aesthetic education.
