About the Performer:
The Feitian Choir of the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University
Founded in 1998 and affiliated with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering at Beihang University, the Feitian Choir takes its name from the Chinese word for "soaring flight"—a name that carries the youthful aspiration to spread wings and chase dreams, while embodying the soaring ambition of serving the nation through aerospace excellence. The choir thrives on a tradition of peer mentorship, where experienced members guide newcomers in a continuous cycle of growth and passing the torch.
All choir members are Beihang undergraduate and graduate students without professional music majors. The choir has earned outstanding accolades in international competitions, including the Gold Award in the University Championship category at the 9th World Choir Games in Russia.
Recently, the choir's original music video projects—The First Day and Dream of the Blue Sky—conceived, performed, and produced entirely by its members, have been featured on major media platforms including China Youth Media, Youth Beijing, and Beihang University's official WeChat channel. These works vividly showcase the spirit, values, and positive energy of Beihang students.
