Bio of the Speaker:

Chen Shu received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999. From 1999 to 2004, he took his postdoctoral research at Universität Bayreuth and Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldor in Germany, and Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States. In Nov, 2004, he was selected in "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been a researcher and a doctoral supervisor of Institute of Physics in Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2008. In 2012, he won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award ranking the fourth and got the National Outstanding Youth Fund in 2014.
