The year 2023 is the starting year for the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In order to thoroughly implement the strategy of talent-driven development and vigorously create a new pattern of first-class university construction, the 15th Beihang University Vision Forum for International Young Scholars will be held from December 16 to December 19, 2023 both online and offline.
The Forum focuses on the goal of building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics. Through speeches by leaders, invited academic reports, exchanges and interviews, and discipline-specific sub-forums, it aims to strengthen the comprehensive understanding of outstanding young talents at home and abroad regarding Beihang’s development strategies, disciplinary construction, scientific research, talent cultivation, and other policy systems as well as the Beihang spirit of serving the country in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics.
The Beihang University Vision Forum for International Youth Scholars has been successfully held for fourteen sessions, providing an academic exchange platform and a stage for young talents from both China and abroad who are “dedicated to the motherland and ready to embrace the world” to showcase academic achievements. More than 260 young talents, including over 80 national-level young talents, have become members of Beihang’s talent pool through the platform of the Forum.
Focusing on the talent-driven development strategy of the new era, the 15th Forum will be held in conjunction with Beihang University’s “14th Five-Year Plan” for faculty construction and the talent introduction plan for 2023. It consists of one main forum and 34 sub-forums covering various disciplines. As an important component of the recruitment process, the Forum provides young scholars with the opportunity for in-depth interviews with their target schools. Qualified young scholars at home and abroad are welcome to register online by visiting the application system (https://crm.9151.com.cn/3dVfz). The deadline for registration is November 12, 2023 (offline participation) and December 8, 2023 (online participation). After comprehensive evaluation by the experts from the forum’s Organising Committee, invitation letters will be sent to eligible talents via email from November 3 to November 5, 2023 (offline participation), and from December 13 to December 15, 2023 (online participation).
