
Xu Lijun (1968.7—) is a professor and PhD supervisor as well as Dean of the School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering of Beihang University. He is a distinguished professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program and an awardee of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
He received his doctor’s degree from Tianjin University in 1996. His research focuses on process tomography and its application. He brought up a fractional period digital demodulation method and a method of direct image reconstruction, invented a fan-beam laser tomography system and a double-ring conductivity probe array imaging system, and realized the online test and diagnosis of combustion and multiphase flow.
In recent years, he has led over 20 national projects, published over 90 papers in journals listed in the Science Citation Index and over 150 papers in journals indexed by Ei Compendex, hosted a number of international conferences as the chair and given speeches and keynote speeches. There are 59 patents in his name. He has also won several provincial or ministry-level prizes.
