On January 11, a delegation led by Ning Fei, vice president for human resources of Airbus China, and Patrick SOYER, head of Airbus Global University Relations, visited Beihang University. Beihang Vice President Zhao Weisheng met with the guests warmly, accompanied by leaders from the International Relations Department, the Institute of Science and Technology, Alumni Liaison and Development Office, the School of Energy and Power Engineering, the School of Aeronautical Science and Engineering, Sino-French Engineer School, Zhongfa Aviation Institute, and other related departments.
Zhao Weisheng extended a warm welcome to the guests. He noted that Beihang and Airbus have cooperated for nearly 20 years, achieving fruitful results in talent training, technical exchanges, and internship base construction. Airbus is at the forefront of aircraft design, manufacturing and aeronautical engineering technology, and both sides have broad prospects for cooperation. Taking the opportunity of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France, both sides should further high-level exchanges, deepen university-enterprise cooperation in educating people, promote the construction of joint laboratories in cutting-edge and key areas, and jointly promote the partnership to a new level.
Ning Fei expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm reception of Beihang university. She said that Airbus attaches great importance to the cooperation with top universities like Beihang. Since the establishment of the partnership in 2005, the two sides have carried out extensive practical cooperation and achieved remarkable results. She hoped that the two sides will continue to promote the innovation of university-enterprise cooperation, so as to cultivate more top talents in the field of aviation and civil aviation for the society.
Following that, heads of the International Relations Department, Sino-French Engineer School and Zhongfa Aviation Institute introduced Beihang’s international cooperation, and the basic situation of the School and the Institute, respectively. The two sides fully discussed the prospects of future cooperation and reached a number of consensus.
During the visit, Airbus delegation also had exchanges with the students of the Sino-French Engineer School, and visited the Center for Micro-Nano Innovation and the Air and Space Museum of Beihang University.
