On February 26, Beihang University commenced its spring semester as scheduled at the Xueyuan Road Campus, Shahe Campus, and international campus located in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province. Undergraduate and graduate students embarked on their vibrant and exciting learning journey for this term.
On the first day of the semester, Beihang offered a total of 645 undergraduate courses and 132 graduate courses. There were 21,724 undergraduates and 2,172 graduates who attended the first class on time.
In the classrooms, students listened attentively to the lectures and took meticulous notes. The new semester marks a fresh start, and everyone is filled with energy and power, absorbing knowledge like a sponge.
Jiang Haiyang, a master's student from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, expressed his high spirits, “Returning to campus for the new semester, I feel full of passion. I am ready to learn more knowledge with a fresh state of mind and overcome the challenges of academics and research, striving to become a better version of myself in this term!”
Long Xinqi, a master's student from the Sino-French Engineer School / School of General Engineering, said, “During my three years as a graduate, I have experienced teaching methods and local customs in different countries and regions, from France to China, and from Beijing to Hangzhou. With the start of the spring semester, I officially begin my work and life at the Hangzhou Innovation Institute. In the pleasant and lively campus of Hangzhou, I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to research work and development plans, concluding my life as a Beihang graduate with a satisfactory ending.”
Shi Yujia, an undergraduate student from Shou'e College, expressed her anticipation, “You can see the determination and confidence on the faces of classmates in the classroom at this moment. I also want to seize this opportunity to delve into the knowledge of aerospace engineering, striving to grow into one of the new generation shouldering the responsibilities of national rejuvenation!”
Gong Jialing, an undergraduate from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, also exclaimed, “New aspirations arise in my heart when returning to Beihang. As a student studying social sciences, I conducted research throughout the country during the holidays, and now I will return to Beihang to reflect on my findings. We should translate our love into action to reap fruitful results in the new term.”
With pleasant weather, some students were seen sweating on the sports field. They engaged in activities such as running or playing various ball games, filling the playground with youthful vigour.
As the new semester begins, it is hoped that all students set new goals and find their study rhythm, bravely moving forward like explorers.
