On the occasion of the 114th International Women’s Day, Beihang held a female teacher representative symposium in Main Building, Xueyuan Road Campus. President Wang Yunpeng discussed with ten female teacher representatives from relevant schools and departments. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Yang Lijun, and Vice President Deng Yi also attended the event. The symposium was presided over by Yang Lijun.
At the symposium, female teacher representatives including He Wenting from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wan Han from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Zhang Xiao from the School of Mathematical Science, Yang Yue from the School of Transportation Science and Engineering, Ma Yanhong from the Research Institute of Aero-Engine, Wang Shuo from the School of New Media Art and Design, Zhang Hui from the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, Lin Na from the Department of Student Affairs, Wang Shu from the Center of Faculty Development, and Qiu Ting from the High School Affiliated to Beihang University talked about their own growth and learning and work situation, and expressed deep emotions towards the university. They also exchanged ideas and suggestions on teaching and research, the spirit of "mentoring", student cultivation, curriculum reform, interdisciplinary studies, teacher development, and other aspects. Wang Yunpeng carefully listened to the speeches of each representative and discussed with them one by one.
On behalf of the university, Wang Yunpeng extends sincere greetings and good wishes to all the female faculty and staff who have worked hard, and congratulates them on their outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research, and management. He expressed his blessings and expectations to the female faculty and staff through three key words: gratitude, appreciation, and anticipation. He appreciated the great efforts and positive contributions made by female faculty and staff in the development of various undertakings in the university, noting that the univeristy would continue to care for and support the career development of female teachers, create a more harmonious and comfortable working atmosphere, and continuously enhance the sense of belonging, happiness, and achievement of teachers. Wang also expressed the hope that female faculty and staff will continue to leverage their strengths, maintain resonance between personal development and the development of Beihang, and contribute more to accelerating the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
During the symposium, Wang Yunpeng presented flowers to the female teacher representatives and took a group photo with them.
Leaders from the Office of Party and Government Affairs, Department of Academic Affairs, Graduate School, Institute of Science and Technology, Human Resources Department, Financial Department, Asset and Laboratory Management Department, International Cooperation Department, Labor Union, Center of Faculty Development, International Research Institute for Multidisciplinary Science, and other departments attended the symposium.
