Release time:November 5, 2024 / Han Xu

Beihang University once again secured the Victory Cup in the 14th “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition held at Xi’an Jiaotong University on November 2, which marks the sixth consecutive time that Beihang nabbed the cup since the award was established in 2014.

In this year’s competition, Beihang ultimately won four gold medals, six silver medals, and four bronze medals, ranking fourth in the total number of awards and sixth in the number of gold medals nationwide and first in Beijing. A total of 10 projects from Beihang made it to the final defense stage of the competition.

At the closing ceremony, Beihang's project “Qianxing Technology - Pioneer in Space Asset Security Services” signed an equity investment intent with relevant investment institutions, facilitating the project's implementation and commercialization. Only five projects nationwide achieved this milestone.

The 14th “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition was sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Association for Science and Technology, the All-China Students’ Federation, and the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province. It was hosted by Xi’an Jiaotong University and the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. Focusing on the five development concepts of “innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and sharing,” the competition was divided into five categories: technological innovation and future industries, rural revitalization and agricultural modernization, ecological civilization and green low-carbon development, cultural creativity and regional cooperation, and social governance and public services.

Since its launch in June, the competition has attracted participation from over 3 million students from more than 2,700 universities nationwide, with a cumulative submission of over 390,000 entries.
