From February 24 to 26, the First Bilateral Academic Symposium between Beihang University and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) was held on the UAEU campus. The event brought together over thirty professors and scholars from both universities, fostering in-depth discussions and exchanges across diverse fields, including aerospace science and technology, data science, materials science, and information technology.
The symposium aimed to enhance academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities by facilitating joint discussions on the latest research achievements and future directions in cutting-edge technological fields.
During the opening ceremony, Professor Ahmed Ali Alraeesi, President of UAEU, and Professor Zhao Weisheng, Vice President of Beihang University, delivered speeches respectively. Both leaders emphasized the symposium's role as a pivotal platform for deepening mutual trust, fostering friendship, and enhancing academic and research cooperation. They reaffirmed their commitment to hosting regular bilateral symposia, expanding collaboration in scientific research, talent cultivation, and academic exchanges, and establishing this initiative as a cornerstone for advancing technological innovation.

Throughout the symposium, experts and scholars presented their latest research findings and innovative ideas in their respective fields. Scholars from Beihang showcased breakthroughs in aerospace technology and data science, while counterparts from UAEU shared advancements in materials science and computational science. Participants actively interacted, engaging in profound discussions on topics of interest.



In addition to academic presentations and exchanges, the symposium featured visits to key research facilities, including the National Space Science and Technology Center and UAEU Science Park. Attendees gained firsthand insights into the advanced infrastructure and resources supporting research and education at UAEU. Preliminary discussions were also held to explore potential collaborative projects and future research directions.

The symposium not only strengthened the friendship and cooperation between Beihang and UAEU but also provided fresh perspectives and directions for future academic research and technological innovation. Both universities have pledged to further enhance exchanges and collaboration, working together to advance technology and contribute to societal progress.
