Recently, the Beijing Air and Space Museum made a magnificent debut at the Shahe Campus of Beihang University, becoming one of the new landmarks of the Shahe area.

Launched in 2024, the museum is designed as a multifunctional hub that blends patriotic education, national defense education, science-education integration, and science popularization, all while highlighting the unique spirit of aerospace culture. Spanning 16,800 square meters, it serves as a dynamic center for public education and scientific innovation, fostering both learning and inspiration.
The outdoor exhibition area of the museum has been officially opened, featuring 14 meticulously curated exhibits, including the Beijing-1 aircraft, Xian H-6 Strategic Bomber, and DF-2 missile, standing as a distinctive landmark on campus.

The indoor exhibition hall chronicles the evolution of global aerospace innovation, which is meticulously divided into three state-of-the-art zones——Engine, Aviation, and Space—boasting over 83 meticulously preserved artifacts, including the P1P2 missile, WP11 engine, and Tianying drone.

The Engine zone houses an unrivaled assemblage of engines, distinguished by its extensive quantity, diverse variety, comprehensive range of models, historical time periods, and global origins, solidifying its position as the preeminent showcase of its type in China.

The indoor exhibition hall at the Shahe Campus is set to open its doors, with reservation access soon available to all faculty and students.
