Abstract:
Artificial intelligence, through its algorithmic processes, connects artists with the qualities of natural intelligence. Within this interweaving, we encounter not only novel sensory experiences but also new perspectives on our traditions and their interplay with nature and society. This lecture employs the concept of "delay" to establish connections across neuroscience, linguistics, and Marcel Duchamp's artistic work. It explores the distinctions between artificial and natural intelligence and proposes an interdisciplinary framework for reflection. Rather than replacing natural intelligence, AI offers an opportunity to rethink the relationships between "intelligence" and "body," "speed" and "delay."
