Peng Huanwu Collaborative Center for Research and Education was jointly established by Beihang University and the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 29, 2022. The Center aims to promote close collaboration between the two institutions on education and scientific research, and to support the training of young talents.

Oriented towards the international frontier of physical science, the Center carries out original basic research in nuclear physics and particle physics, gravity and cosmology, statistical physics and soft matter physics, condensed matter physics and quantum physics, as well as other related cross-disciplinary studies.
